Tema McMillon is an independent appraiser and advisor with over 10 years of experience valuing fine and decorative arts. She provides USPAP compliant appraisals for insurance scheduling, damage and loss claims, estate planning, equitable distribution and collection management purposes. Tema’s experience includes several years at Chubb insurance company as a Senior Risk Consultant and Fine Art & Collections Specialist and she has also held senior appraisal positions at an art investment firm, an art advisory and a contents management firm where she worked on damage and loss valuations.
In addition to appraising, Tema enjoys consulting with clients on best practices for collections management and provides services such as inventories and disaster plans. Tema is accredited with the Appraisers Association of America. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and a Graduate Certificate in Appraisal Studies from New York University.
